Meet Our MidWives

At Nativiti, we recognize that your choice of midwifery care and a birthing center is driven both by the practice’s competency and personality. We believe that when searching for quality women’s health care, you need certified nurse-midwives who are experienced, understanding and supportive. You get this caring attitude from all the staff at Nativiti Family Birth Center & Women's Health Associates every day. Our staff works together as a team to ensure we are responsive to your needs and keep you informed about your health issues. Whether your current need is birth or GYN care, we look forward to caring for you through every phase of life and getting to know you on a very personal level.

Jami Hain is a certified nurse-midwife and owner of Nativiti Family Birth Center, Inc. While the name has changed slightly, the caring, personalized care that you'll receive has not. She worked at Nativiti as a nurse for many years before completing her graduate education at Frontier Nursing University and becoming a nurse midwife in 2012.

Her clinical experiences include both hospital and birth center birth, although she believes that out of hospital birth affords women the unique opportunity to be active participants in their care through shared decision-making. The relationship that is developed between a midwife and the women she cares for, cultivates an environment of trust that is fostered by the midwifery model of care. She is passionate about women’s health and strives to provide professional, individualized care for women and families in a friendly, safe, and non-threatening environment. Her experience as a doula has made labor support one of her favorite parts of being a midwife.

She is happily married for 35+ years and has 2 wonderful sons and a beautiful daughter-in-law. Her favorite pastime is hanging out with and playing board games with family.

She is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives and the American Association of Birth Centers. She is so excited and honored to be able to continue to provide exceptional care to women and families as she seeks to grow the birth center practice that Melanie has worked so diligently to build.

Sarah Owens, CNM

We are so excited to welcome Sarah Owens, CNM as the newest member of the Nativiti Team. She and her husband and three children are moving to The Woodlands from Oregon. She is passionate about educating and empowering women and can’t wait to meet each of you. We are so blessed to have her as part of our team.

Office Staff

The first friendly face you see when you visit Nativiti is Dinnie Lombardo. With many years experience on both the clinical and administrative sides of clinic operations, her goal is to make your Nativiti experience pleasant and rewarding. She will schedule your appointments and handle any insurance or financial arrangement questions you may have.
